Colorado National Monument in February 2021

2021

Georgia and I went for a ride over the Colorado National Monument the other day. There wasn’t as much snow as I thought, but all the inclement weather made for clear skies. This sweet ewe was happily munching her afternoon snack and was in no hurry to leave. The Canon 28-300 takes nice shots from a distance, even from my car. The bighorns are used to cars so I tend to stay in or near my car when I spot them alongside the road.

A couple of weeks later, I went hiking with a friend and got some unusual shots in the area.

The sun wasn't exactly in the correct position so this became a B&W and looks a bit better this way.
