I purchased this honey from the Glade Park Store. https://www.glade-park.com/glade-park-store.html It’s a quaint 100 year old store that reminds me of Garrison Store back in Salem-Morganton, NC. Johna and I loved going there as kids getting a coolie or a “dope” as Gramps called soda.

For the final pull and stretch, I pulled it in a long rectangle, sprinkled cranberries and honey. I rolled it up like a cigar, then folded under and into a circle. It is softer on the inside, like it has yeast, but does not.
The honey did make its way to the bottom. So be careful with the time and be sure and put the cast iron dutch oven in the middle, not to the bottom rack.
Garlic with finely ground, Italian seasoning that you can see on the top.

Every week or so I make two loaves of sourdough. Sometimes I give one away and keep the other. This morning my loaf is small and has rosemary that we grew outside now still alive in the garage. It smells fill the kitchen with a heavenly scent. Steve’s loaf is bigger and loaded with GARLIC…oh and a bit of the same rosemary.

Below is a link for a tutorial by Chef Billy Parisi that I watched to learn how to make sourdough. My started is two years old at this time.

Giuseppe Giusti Modena (balsamic) bought in Italy near San Gimignano while on a tour. It is the best I’ve tasted. https://giusti.com/

2-year old Sourdough Starter – water and flour with a sprinkle of cane sugar on occasion

I do like my steamer insert and use it every time I cook a loaf of bread.
